SPREADING JOIE
My poor inbox received over 500 emails for Black Friday (which over the years has somehow mutated from a being a single day to lasting an entire week), Small Business Saturday, and Cyber Monday. In the words of Marie Kondo, do you know how many of those emails brought me joy? None. I wasn't excited about any of the sales, gifts with purchase, or buy one get ones. In fact, it left me feeling stressed and overwhelmed. Select all, delete.

In an effort to subdue my anxiety, I went with my husband and baby to pick out a Christmas tree. Then, I did some shopping at a store that I wish I could move into (Sunday Shop). I ended the evening catching up with a friend while drinking a holiday themed cocktail at the Christmas Miracle Pop-Up Bar at Barrel Proof. My heart was full and my mind felt clear.

With all the end of the year deadlines, never ending shopping lists, and pressure to somehow capture all the magical moments for your InstaStory, remember to make time for what really matters this holiday season. Find joy in the small things, make memories with family and friends, reflect on the year and give thanks. Promo codes can come and go, but joyful memories will last forever.
